Moisturising products, plants and techniques for skin
Your skin is losing moisture the whole time so it’s important to keep replenishing and nourishing it.
Come and learn about your skin’s needs and the many different natural products you can create to help feed and care for it. Know how to work in harmony with your skin’s natural process to keep everything in balance.
Many off-the-shelf moisturising products can do more harm than good to our skin. We need to have confidence in reading the ingredients on the back of the product and knowing which we trust on our skin. Here we look at examples and build your confidence to make the choices that are right for you.
Drinking plenty of water helps keep up your general hydration, but your other vital organs will take what they need before your skin gets a look in – it’s always last in the pecking order. To get moisture to your skin, you can make topical intervention and help your skin where and when it needs it most through using the right creams, lotions, serums and balms.
In this workshop you’ll learn about the wonderful ingredients provided by nature to use in creating your own moisturising products to suit your skin.
The workshop lasts for approximately 2 hours. During this time we will make at least 3 products for you to take away, plus looking at lots of ingredients and options. We let the discussion follow your interests and make sure you try plenty and build a good awareness of what’s possible with natural blend-it-yourself moisturisers.
The group workshop can accommodate up to four people for tuition and hands-on making, so you can come along with friends and family to enjoy the experience together (price quoted is per person). It takes place in the Field Fresh Skincare lab and workshop at the edge of the Cotswolds and is led by Laura, founder of Field Fresh Skincare, who has years of experience working with plants to create skincare products and author of Vital Skincare.
