Herb Walk & Tea Tasting – 10am – Saturday 20th September

£0.00

Description

Autumn is a time for fruits and foraging. Get a true taste of the season with a herb walk and tea tasting at Eastington Farm Shop.

In this Herb Walk, you will be guided through the fields and hedgerows of Middlehall Farm, Eastington. You’ll learn about the ways plants can be used medicinally, in skincare, in cooking and for craft.

The walk is brought to you by Cotswold Herb Centre and led by Hedgerow Skincare expert, Laura, founder of Field Fresh Skincare and author of Vital Skincare. You can expect lots of tips on how to look after ourselves as we enter the cooler days of autumn, and the many supportive plants we can find to help us.

Please note, we won’t be gathering herbs or hedgerow offerings in this walk, but you’ll be learning what to look for, how to safely identify them and what they offer us. If you’ve never been on a Herb Walk before, this will tell you what to expect.

We’ll be out for about 45 minutes, around the fields and hedgerows of the farm, there’s lots to see in a small area so we won’t walk far but do come prepared for mud underfoot and dress to suit the weather on the day. Children and dogs welcome.

Back at the Farm Shop, Dr Viv from Wayside Teas will have a full range of herbal teas to sample. Do come and chat with her about how to get the perfect brew.

This lovely seasonal event celebrates the launch of Wayside Tea and Field Fresh Skincare products at Eastington Farm Shop. Whenever you pop in you’ll be able to pick up your supply of locally blended herbal tea – try a new blend and get refills for your favourites – and send the gift of helpful herbs with a Herb Pocket card.

Walk and tea tasting are both free, but please book your space so we can accommodate everyone.

It’s all happening on Saturday 20th September at Eastington Farm Shop, GL10 3AY
There are two walks – 10:00-10:45 and 11:30-12:15; Tea tasting is throughout the morning 10:00 – 13:00
